However, still can't find anyone to ship me a 6-pack of Summer Weiss for under $30. Boooo

Lawl! Someone took the INC Gnome Invasion idea (Draenor, 2007?) and used their powers for EEEE.. erm, GOOD! Bajillion Gnomes for Breast Cancer awareness :)
I wonder what I did with all the Inc Gnome Invasin pix. That's the kinda stuff I keep, so I'm sure I have em. OH.. Good Job AVAST for thinking WoW was a virus! Had me running my PC through a Gauntlet trying to find this MalWare. Thank goodness someone broached the subject on the tech forums, and that I happened to see them, before I went to uninstalling anything O_O.

No... I didn't run today.
I did.. eat like a pig, and sleep in. *Raspberry*.

OH! Found a site that shows a bunch of neat stuff going on in West Palm Beach!

So... StarTrek.Com has released a Starfleet Academy Diploma.  I wanted to see if the design was supported by canon (because I'm a huge fact-check nerd) and in my quest collected what I think to be all the diploma designs officially used on the show. School, Geekery, and Science!

Woops! I did not notice that my posts were getting stuck in "draft"! Here's what been published late: 20120805-11 Curiosity and News . News: KY Evolution, Medieval Germanic War . In Life: Img Src School has started again and I've got four classes, Organic Chemistry I, Genetics, Introduction for Teaching, and Introduction to Technology for Educators. For those of you of my generation let me emphasize that the latter is "intro to, technology for educators" and not "intro to technology, for educators". If you don't know the difference: instead of teaching me "Intro to Tech" (typing, how to use word, excel, etc, all that jazz) I'll be learning the programs that educators tend to use nowadays to organize students' grades, build digital classrooms, work through how the law pertaining to teaching interacts with the law pertaining to technology, etc. I'll be keeping two blogs for the class and uploading my final projec...

Friesland Trip, Netherlands

On a school trip with the DP1 (junior) students I traveled to Friesland for a three days! We stayed at a Sailing School, Zeilschool de Veenhoep, where we canoe, sail, and built rafts! We took a day in the city of Leeuwarden, and visited the museum.  The sailing school has barracks style rooms (with little room for chargers) but the living room and other seating areas are lovely! Natural wood beams, large windows with views of the water, and very friendly family as staff.  On the first day we settled in and I ran off with the group doing canoes! At first there were not enough canoes, but a couple boys came back very quickly and I hopped in. It was only a short route but enough for kids who've never done it before. I missed canoeing; I think I haven't done it in six years! We all bussed to the other sailing school site to have a joint dinner (the kids aren't keen on being split from some of their friends).
