WHO says AZ isn't Green?
To everyone who likes to crack that Arizona has no grass, no green, that it's too hot to grow anything, etc etc. I would like to share this with you:
According to the American Forests' National Register of Big Trees, Arizona is home to 91 record holding Big Trees.

Sure, Saguaro and Oleander are in there, but so is the biggest Lime Tree, in Phoenix! (MrAZ-can't-grow-citrus.) We hold the record for several species of PINE (you know, Coniferous Trees?) Sycamore, Cypress, Oak, Willow, we have the largest CHERRY tree (Bitter Cherry). Ash, Maple, the largest common APPLE tree! Eucalyptus?? Sour Orange.
The largest tree in AZ is a Fremont Cottonwood (Populus fremontii ssp. fremontii) in Santa Cruz, AZ.
Circumference: 504 inches
Height: 92 feet
Spread: 108 feet
Points: 623 (Overall Big Tree Rating)
Most of the entries have pictures of the huge tree. (Take a peek at this Saguaro.. it's terrifyingly big.)
