Stats, Brain Challenge (DS), Cloth Pads

So, Stats, I kind of want to tear my hair out. Not so much because of the studying, but because of how easily distracted I get. I was pretty disciplined today, got from 2.4-5.3. But yesterday I achieved simply the FIRST part of 2.4. I did just about everything BUT stats, like a kid who wriggles around to escape his high-chair rather than eat his peas. Two days left. I'm caught in the place where I can't wait for them to be over and I wish there was another week! Finish studying, take my final, cram the Anatomy final (which isn't as scary as it sounds. Just two easy chapters on the reproductive systems and some "comprehensive" stuff he'll most likely give us Monday, like 'e do, so there's no USE is stressing the comp half til Monday. I hate that he does that but /shrug/.)

Discovered I packed my Brain Age game. Usually it lives in my DS travel case, but I remember using it as a treat bag to train Rook to heel once... SO, the games were removed for their safety, and I distinctly remember packing a baggie of them thinking "it's alright, I've got the ones I need." NOPE. I've got FF2 and Poke Pearl. (Which, btw, I'll be selling as soon as I get the box unpacked. Hint Hint.) It's so easy for me to get addicted to the useless "Collect stuff" games. I should have more restraint :P Having no brain games, and realizing that Luminosity will be ending my "free trial" in 3 days, and apparently taking the ability to play some of the games with it, I went ahead and stalked the lowest price brain games around, and found a highly rated "Brain Challenge" at Gamestop for 9.99 (still 19.99 on EBay.) I'm NOT disappointed. It has the same kind of "mental growth" idea as Brain Age, only it uses a fictitious brain usage (you start with the human's average of 10%.) It doesn't have any structured training plans, but you can see the areas you need to work on in your "Stats" chart. The games also gives you letter grades so you can attempt to raise them. (So far, the only A+ I've gotten is the first "Focus" game they open for you; which I'll toot to say I got off the bat. The MATH games however... In the screenie you can see my tutor (who I picked cause the blonde irritated me off the bat) is telling me my "math scores are not as strong as the others." And that I "need to train them more". After spending 12 hours on Stats, I kind of wanted to choke him. P.S. for those really hooked on that "Brain Age" thing, this games DOES tell you your "Cerebral Age" in your progress report :P I started at 44 (ouch) and am down to 43 in a day or so.

The other day I started cutting on the cloth I bought. I had seen a bit about cloth pads online, but can't bring myself to spend money on something I could make (enjoy enjoy making!) SO, using a Lightdays I traced, I started working a pattern. I would have modified one from online, if the ladies who make the pads would post them, but they want to sell that as well, naturally. I did end up making the little wings too short, they seemed right at first, but at least they were long enough with the cuts. This is a rough draft after-all. Now that I'm rockin Finals, they get put on the back burner. The gorgeous cloudy green flannel from the other day will be the inner lining to this viney green here. I'll use the cloudy purple for the shweet wildlife purple. Then I just need to reunite my Bernina with it's pedal! WEEE! STITCHERY!!

Ok I've run out of gas. Time for sleeping. Tomorrow, more Stats. I really want to get good grades on the make-up test (Sun night or Monday after the final :P) and of course the final. Tempted to try to make-up test Sun, to see what I really need on the Final to get a B. (GOD I can't wait to be out of this 7-Point-86-is-a-B school!
