5/5 Swallowing Darkness (Gentry 07) Laurell K Hamilton

I loved it. While some Merry books I could take or leave, this one was amazing. They were all so real, I giggled, my heart race, I CRIED (and I don't do that...) I am comfortable in saying this is my favorite of the Merry Gentry series. I'd actually become upset at LKH as I like Anita less and less when at first I loved her. Now, they seem reversed. This is so well written, so engaging! The battles, the emotions, everything crystal, I love it. I just do.
*Also, kudos to Claudia Black, reader of the audiobook, for embodying the characters so well and giving them each their own distinct sound. So many can't do that.

So... StarTrek.Com has released a Starfleet Academy Diploma.  I wanted to see if the design was supported by canon (because I'm a huge fact-check nerd) and in my quest collected what I think to be all the diploma designs officially used on the show. De Groote Museum

 De Groote Museum (The Great Museum) is centered around the concept that everything is connected . It's part of the Artis Royal Zoo complex (like Micropia) but has a separate entrance and fee (included in the Museum Card).  The museum was closed for 75 years (not a typo!) and reopened in 2022. It used to be the  'Main Building' or 'Zoological Museum' for Artis. You can read more about it's scientific use at their website ! ARTIS honorary member and professor of Anatomy Willem Vrolik (1801-1863) gave lectures on the autopsies he performed on animals that had died in the zoo. He published the very first scientific description of various animal species. After the autopsy, the animals were prepared and ended up in the museum.
