/hate the overprivelaged youth

Tonight I pulled coverage at the 'quieter' gate for overtime. I'm earning every penny.

A teenage girl is having a birthday party tonight. She put the party up on her private school's facebook and built the damn guest list from people who posted they were coming. The paper list alone 218 names, some of which are as vague as "Tommy's girlfriend" (you know,  in case she shows up without him we have something credible to go on...) Several persons were let in, with parent telephone approval, based on the "I don't know who that boy is but let him in anyway and we'll ask our daughter when we find her" argument.

Though this was the girl's 18th birthday I'm sure mummy and daddy got some alcohol for their little-woman, but I doubt a gesture like that is necessary or appreciated when the private school teens show up stocked with smuggled booze and (as my husband so eloquently phrases it:) "pregamed like a mother-f'er". A car full of girls rolled up to the gate with a brunette in the backseat slumped over into the window. I asked if she was okay; knowing she damn-well wasn't asleep. They giggled and said she was fine. Then I saw the remnants of vomit down the side of the door. These teenage prats brought a girl ALREADY UNCONSCIOUS to a party with a horde of intoxicated self-entitled males. "Anyone need an easy rape? We brought Jenny!"

One neighbor left the neighborhood thought I should know that there was a young woman in a pink dress and black tights passed out in the middle of the street. Why the hell didn't they call the police or the neighbor or something?? I called Patrol but he was off-site getting fuel, so I called the parents directly. Is it too much too hope this news makes you rein(sp) in your daughter? Nah, they called me back to say they couldn't find her. Please god let her friends have found her and not some random person.

Before I left Patrol counted 48 cars along the main street (not including cul de sacs). This morning my Captain tells me there were over 80 different vehicles logged in to the house and each car had an average of 3 kids in it. Captain also told me that around midnight three police cars came in and busted up the party. They escorted every vehicle out. The sad thing is it probably made the girl more popular. I'm told several vehicles returned and the parents okayed the re-entry! Several mailboxes on the property were vandalized and 'poor security' will probably be blamed. What are we supposed to do about a horde of drunk rich kids, with two of us glued to the gates and only a one-man patrol car. Absurd.

No matter how much I ever end up making, I'll send the girl to military school if she ever thought she was so spoiled. Disgusting.
