20140417 FAU Earth Day with MGSA

Mission Green Student Association at FAU's 2014 Earth Day Festival!
Mission Green Student Association teamed up with FAU Housing, Parking and Transportation, and SEEDS to put on a great Earth Day celebration!

More after the jump!

The event is a great way to reach out to FAU students to tell them about opportunities to be more sustainable on campus, at home, and in the future!

FAU Students learn how to make low cost natural cleaners from stuff they probably already own (baking soda and vinegar)!

Have used ink cartridges? Want to take the Green Pledge and learn how to be more sustainable? the MGSA table has got what you need!

A big thanks for our partners South Florida Commuter Services for coming out and teaching students about alternative transportation! All week they've been giving away free Tri-Rail passes! WOOHOO!

Tri-Rail came out to talk to students about the 50% off they get on train tickets! Have your Owl Card? Hop on the connecting bus 94 and head over to the station, then use your Student Pass to get a discount on your ticket! Don't forget to Tap On!

Mission Green is actually a University-wide program, and is part of the Planning department! Planning came out to teach students about stormwater management, a VERY important topic when you are blessed to live so close to the beach, like we all do in South Florida!

Our advisor Shannon Clounts with the queen of FAU Student Housing! WOO!
HAPPY EARTH DAY FESTIVAL from MISSION GREEN!
Thank you to ALL our members and volunteers for making this possible!
